Sunny skies are here again! We have not floated away despite the record rainfall and overflowing dams and reservoirs.
Thankfully, we are happy to report that the apricot crop is looking plentiful this year. With the harsh winter we’re just coming out of and the overabundance of rain, our growers faced a handful of challenges this year. Even with the severe flooding that many Californians faced, the apricot orchards thankfully were spared any permanent damage and have flourished.
We are looking forward to another good crop this year and will begin harvest during the last week of May and will run through late June/ the very beginning of July. The apricot crop will be sent to fresh markets, canneries and dry yards. We’ll be sure to update you as we move through the spring and toward harvest.
